My younger son and I did something new for New Year's Day and went down to York River State Park to hike the Taskinas Creek Trail as part of VSP's First Day Hikes. We had a lot of fun and definitely need to make this a yearly thing. #firstdayhikes #virginiastateparks

Other highlights were paddling at three Virginia state parks out of six visited and taking second place in the 2.5 mile men’s kayak category in the Paddle Round the Island race in Williamsburg. I need to get out on the water more in 2025.

Did a trial run 3D printing model rocket parts for a science class this morning. Students will soon be designing their own with the goal of launching eggs and safely bringing them back down.
