Another cool chart via @Steub_: Four years into the Next Gen car, here’s how every track’s poll average ranks. Michigan moves past Kansas to become the new No. 1 best Next Gen track (that still exists).

Phoenix got 2.77 million viewers on NBC, down from 2.9 million last year.

While this is a wildly different viewership era of NASCAR, the first one-race championship (2014) drew 5.2 million viewers and the playoff average that year for the 10 races was 4.4 million.

Forgot to post this earlier amid the post-awards party. Nothing more NASCAR 2025 than writing a lawsuit story during the season-ending awards ceremony. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6778950/2025/11/04/nascar-antitrust-lawsuit-23xi-front-row-marketplace-ruling/

Denny Hamlin on the NASCAR Awards stage, was asked about how competitive he remains at age 44. All he could say was: "It was a good season. It was a great season. Almost perfect."

Now he gets a standing ovation from most of the ballroom.

Joey Logano has had a busy 48 hours since the race. He drove to Las Vegas to make an appearance at the SEMA show and then came back to Phoenix to have a brief spot on stage.

On Even Year Logano next year, he says: "Whatever the format is at. Here we go, let's do it."

Hey friends, the NASCAR Awards tonight are on the NASCAR Channel. It’s a free channel, but if you haven’t figured out how to get it yet, you have a few hours to do so if you wanted to watch. (Obviously will post some updates here as well, like Most Popular Driver Award.)

Grateful to @BigJoeBald72 for keeping track of this contest all season long. @Jordan_Bianchi won our full-season points format and is the worthy champ. See you at the Daytona dunk tank.

I didn’t anticipate getting this many replies to this. But I hear ya. For as unsatisfying as it may feel to see the champion of the season decided in those circumstances, I’m optimistic we’ll see a better format in 2026. Hopefully that will be a much-needed reset for the sport.
