I am leaning towards Kazuma Okamoto being the perfect Alonso replacement. Maybe he won’t ever hit 40 homers but he may be a consistent 27-30 with solid D at first/ 3rd. And, he’s a righty bat

I’d rather have prime Ventura or Olerud over prime Kent on this current Mets team. Kent was just consistently good for longer.

I may be biased as a Mets fan who watched both play but there’s no way Jeff Kent was more dynamic of a player than Carlos Delgado. I’d much rather have prime Delgado over prime Kent on this current Mets team

This team may be worse than the 12-70 Nets. 15-20 wins is their range.
