On the other side, what did Keos actually expect? He is the god of matter. His siblings are not. Of course their gift for him would not be something physical! Concidering that creating was Keos greatest joy, they should have promissed him their help in creating the greatest artifact in the world.

Another part of the story I am very interested in is in Odar, Lumea and Keos. I don't really know on what side I am on there. I mean, on the one side, Odar and Lumea should have known Keos was the practical kind of guy. A song? Really? I knew what his reaction would be in an instant!

By the way, Reeve REALLY messed up, eh? I suppose he also looked at Annev as a child, not as someone whose opinion actually mattered. A great mistake, but understandable.

His only true mistake, in my opinion, was not seeing his friends as equals. But as people to be protected. So, instead of sharing his problems with them, he kept them to himself. He did not want to ruin their happiness. And the logical end result of such line of thinking was leaving them.

Then there is also the jealousy part. But honestly, if your friends started to learn magic, and you couldn't, wouldn't you be a bit jealous? He is handling it pretty well. He admits to himself that he is jealous and tries to keep it from affecting how he acts towards them. A damn saint for his age!

Some say he is selfish for not wanting to help Reeve by being bait. But, honestly, what does he owe him? Reeve could have just as easily first helped him remove the arm and then asked for his help. The fact he didn't shows he wants a carrot to entice him with. To manipulate him with. And Annev knew.

I mean, wouldn't you be a bit frustrated in his shoes? Not only has he lost a lot in the first book, but when he finally reaches a place that is supposed to be save and promises to help him remove the arm, they don't. Even tough he is literally showing to Reeve that having the arm is dangerous.

And in his attempt, he lost much more than what he would, had he decided for one side or the other. Then, in MA, he is more decisive.
Some reviews I have read seem to not like Annev a lot in MA. But honestly, I find him incredibly realistic.

Ah, DnD. I wish more people on my country played it. As is, I have to be happy with BG1 to 3. Actually, I wish more people in my country read fantasy as well.
But back to Annev. I loved his idealism in MoS. He tried soo hard to keep his ideals while achieving his goals. And I love how he failed.

I will wait! I love what you have done with Annev. He is my favorite character. The world is slowly pushing him into the villain role, despite his desires. Even though it isn't the same, it made me remember Rand from the Wheel of Time. Would it botter you too much if I discussed your books with you?

Yay! Been waiting for ages! Can't wait to read it. My favorite book series is back! I assume it is still a few months before it is released?

Good to see you are writing again!
