Woody Guthrie is by far the most famous, culturally and historically impactful Oklahoman that ever lived. Fellow Oklahomans, please explain to me why I’m wrong. I’m truly dumbfounded by why killing Fascists is now against the values Woody and the rest of us grew up believing.

I grew up believing punching Nazis and Fascists was cool and the duty of all freedom-loving people. But I’m open to hear the other side. If you’re an American, go ahead and lay out your “don’t harm Nazi’s” position. I’ll listen.

80 years ago this week my Grandfather was killed by a Nazi artillery shell in a frozen foxhole in Belgium at the end of the Bulge. Leaving this gorgeous and hopeful woman a War Bride and my beautiful mother a War Orphan. Fuck Fascists, Fuck Trump and Fuck Musk and the hate they thrive on .

80 years ago this week my Grandfather was killed by a Nazi artillery shell in a frozen foxhole in Belgium at the end of the Bulge. Leaving this gorgeous and hopeful woman a War Bride and my beautiful mother a War Orphan. Fuck Fascists, Fuck Trump and Fuck Musk and the hate they thrive on .

My Grandad died in a foxhole, holding up the rear at the Battle of the Bulge two weeks before my Mom was born. He withstood that miserable, frigid final winter of his life fighting Nazis, so I feel like I owe him. And you. And the rest of the world under siege. So I’ll keep fighting too
