1) Okay, sure, he's just asking for your values and principles

2) What do you think the USA's global economy looks like if global trade is dead, Russia solidifies its monopolies on grain and gas, and China takes over the world's semiconductor manufacturing?

Exactly why they make for such great scapegoats by billionaires. Millionaires are very visible, billionaires are invisible.

Thanks for making it possible Mitch. Couldn't have done it without you.

I wish Joe Biden hadn't pardoned his son, but far more than that I wish Joe Biden hadn't needed to pardon his son.

Could Bernie Sanders explain what he means by "Military Industrial Complex"? Or is he just throwing around a loaded term?

If you go down the list, the big defense manufacturers are making very little profit.

Very easy for billionaires to make scapegoats of millionaires. You see millionaires on TV. You've probably met some. You can drive through their neighborhoods. Billionaires are invisible.

Many reasons, but I think the most dangerous is how Trump has managed to politicize traditionally tuned out, uninformed voters.

Fortunately, it's going to be very hard for whoever succeeds Trump to do it as well as he has.

Has to be the dressing/stuffing.

Lately I've heard MAGA talking about how Donald Trump just wants to "unify" the country. But I can't help but notice that they only talk about unity when they're getting everything they want. That we'll be a united country if only we stopped resisting Trump.
November 24, 2024 at 6:04 AM
Or JD Vance and Mike Johnson saying Trump's conspiracy to overturn an election was in the past and we need to move on. Seriously, people, when will you move on from your core values and principles? Such sticks in the mud.

Unfortunately boobs probably shouldn't be involved. Cults these days are all about things you hate, not things you love.

You're being more optimistic than I am. I expect he will cut things that he thinks should be privatized - specifically in fields where one of his companies can pick up the contract.

Before they can make trillions, they would need to make billions. In 2023, the most profitable of the "Big 5" defense contractors was Lockheed Martin at around $7 billion net profit. That's less than PepsiCo. Ryan McBeth has a great video about the so-called "Military Industrial Complex".

Not that there isn't a lot of scapegoating going on, but two things can be true at the same time: Biden did the right thing, and he did it too late.
November 17, 2024 at 12:14 AM
Handsome fella! How long did it take to get him used to the harness?
November 16, 2024 at 9:32 PM
Could you expand on how you think it has "contributed to politicizing the military"?
November 15, 2024 at 8:16 PM
No, she isn't. She's saying the "left" is overreacting to Gabbard, as if Putin himself had been selected for the position.
