It’s weird how that differs story to story… 3rd person omniscient is good to show the bad guy being bad, which is fun, but it seems less shocking when the protagonist finds the burned village. But The Martian switches between 1st and 3rd person and it WORKS. Idk how that happened.

Hmm… Kurt/Nightcrawler is catholic… but I don’t think I know any of the others. Pyotr might be Orthodox, but he grew up in the USSR so he might be atheist/agnostic… that’s interesting, because I don’t remember seeing a comic talking about their beliefs aside from the path mutants should take…

Photography and video/movie making has the rule of 3rds and forced perspective, dutch angles, etc. How do you make a movie scary, well you can add tight camera angles. LotR had actors look different sizes in the same shot. The golden spiral has influenced art, scenes in movies, architecture, etc.

I took art classes (glass blowing and metallurgy) and my family was astonished that I, an engineer, was “so artistic.” Or, I told them, it could be that as you improve as an artisan, your work improves, and it becomes art. I make useful things that just happen to be beautiful.
