That's weird, I thought you hated conflating smaller groups with the entire community, yet you seem perfectly fine combining trans and gay people together (both of which are completely different, btw).

And when there isn't a degree there's a certification you have to go through during training. Those should be considered just as equal as a degree if both are equally required to work in your respective fields.
