Something like a designated player exception would at least be better! I definitely think the cap needs to raised by a lot though, to remain competitive with European clubs.

I was impressed by Portland this year. I think this team with Wilson, Weaver, and others, is a top 3 roster in the league.

Yeah I mainly think senators are more insulated from electoral consequences due to “prestige” (whether true or not) and longer terms. Short memories, etc. etc.

Yeah, that’s the same argument Berman keeps touting so she doesn’t have to change anything. Parity is worth nothing if it means top players keep getting poached by European clubs.

They should, but they won’t. The sky will be falling, of course, when Trinity goes to Chelsea. But they won’t make any changes.
