Accessibility is a risk and an opportunity. AAAtraq notes that lawsuits climbed from about 8,200 in 2023 to nearly 8,800 in 2024, many involving inaccessible websites. Continuous monitoring and proactive fixes are essential.

A reminder: Higher‑education institutions face deadlines for Title II of the ADA which will require digital content (web, apps, pdfs) to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards by April 2026 (or April 2027 for smaller communities).
