A new F1 fan who's also watching the old F1 races from the 2000's in order.
I also like to play video games and watch movies.

Currently I'm at the 2003 season, I also watch the full itv coverage of it.
I saw this picture and got excited again.
I don't know why.

At the 2003 Malaysian Grand Prix, Fernando Alonso secured the first pole position of his career.
With this achievement, he became not only the first Spanish driver to start from pole, but with Trulli on P2 it was also the first time in two decades that the Renault team locked out the front row.

Wow, damn!!!
This one race had more excitement than the entire 2002 season.
This just shows that rule changes don't necessarily have to negatively impact the sport.
There were far fewer overtakes back then than today, we all know this, but the quality of them was phenomenal!

2003 Melbourne

Well, the new qualifying format meant to shake up the pecking order. And yet, Ferrari is once again locking out the front row with a 1-2 qualifying finish.
I'm curious to see how the race itself and the entire 2003 season will unfold!

Finished watching the 2002 season. Some people said I should skip it and just watch a season review of it, but I wanted to experience the true dominance of the Ferrari team and Schumacher.

In the last race at Suzuka, Takuma Sato, at his home Grand Prix, scored his first points by finishing 5th.

2016 is my second F1 game!
Unlike in F1 2020, the cars in 2016 are smaller and more agile. They require a COMPLETELY different driving style, I spin out more easily with them but it's FUN. This will be my controller-only F1 game when I want to relax on the couch.
I use the wheel with F1 2020.

Honestly... Verstappen was in a lose-lose situation.

Because let’s suppose Piastri and Max were in EXACTLY the same situation, just reversed – with Max on the inside and Oscar on the outside – Max would have still been the one to get the penalty.

Man, that was tough. Big respect to the real drivers! I didn’t even have to deal with wind, low grip, or actually wrestling that beast of a car.

In 2001, Michael Schumacher took pole position at Silverstone with a time of 1:20.447.

In 2002, on his final attempt, Montoya shattered the old record with a 1:18.998.
I still can’t believe how he pulled that off!

I hope the race will be just as exciting as qualifying was.

Damage control? Probably!

But at the 2002 European GP, Rubens Barrichello finally claimed his long-awaited 2nd F1 win. Schumacher spun, got stuck in traffic, and after the second stop (likely due to team orders) he didn’t attack. A day when Rubens was the better driver.

Finally watched the 2002 Austrian GP which featured the controversial team order where Rubens Barrichello had to give up his first place finish to Schumacher.
In 2001 it was understandable because of the short gap between him and Coulthard. But here, he had a 20 point lead over Montoya.
Absurd!

Accident at the Spanish GP!
One of the crew members lifted the board too early and Montoya was about to go, but the crew put it back down due to an issue with refueling. However, the car’s wheel ended up rolling over the signboard handler’s foot!

In 2002 the cars became significantly faster than the previous year. During the San Marino Grand Prix qualifying session Barrichello became the first driver to break Ayrton Senna's track record (1:21.548), which was set on the old layout.
On his final attempt Schumacher set an even faster lap.
