We know, and ICE knows, that the nice folks chasing them now are the first line of defense. So long as we can keep up the pressure, we hold the shooters at bay. But every time we fail, every time ICE gets a victim, the odds increase that the folks deferring to us for the moment will shoot back.

Notwithstanding our resistance, I’d say that the people of Chicago have demonstrated the patience of a saint.
You can’t act like this in Chicago neighborhoods without someone taking a shot at you.
ICE has already killed one, and shot another full of holes.
They are trying the patience of saints.
