I am an oblivious mark for scam artists and my humor is really rough, but I love my cat and my fellow human.
Give me 3 seconds and I'll learn on my own.

Damn you, daylight saving time!!

Ooh yeah lol we've been doing that for about 15 years. It started as Smash night and evolved as time went on. We used to have up to 10 people in one room in the beginning, but life happens and there's only like 5 of us left in the common group. D&D, Tekken, Rivals of Aether, Duck Game are staples :)

Sort of. We just meet to play games and watch movies, and I try to slide one game they never heard of

I usually try to find some niche indie game to show my friends when they come over for game nights. It's how they discovered things like Tiny Healer, Tape2tape and Backpack Hero this year.

I'm currently looking around for the next little gem actually.

They say "show don't tell", but I'm reading Jade City at the moment and it feels like it's doing some "show some and tell some" with things the author wants to emphasize, and BOY is it working.

This is a nuanced subject. I would argue that a new location could be described in a blurb if you want to ensure a specific emotional response from the player. Leaving something out of the text but showing it on screen can be an efficient worldbuilding tool too.

Do you mean that the "I hate people" people actually hate people? It feels crazy that it's been a celebrated stance for so long. Maybe we actually are the weird ones for loving people

Welp, I guess my favourite city is going to have more airbnbs and fewer bike lanes.

I hate that there are so many roads that need to be dug up, and we're just going to rebuild them as they for the next 20-odd years are without improvements. What a waste of opportunity.

I am the people and I crave trains. God do I crave trains.

I'm living east of Montreal on the north shore though, so I can forget about it, because here, trains are only for things, not people. We just don't matter.

My only instance of something similar to that was to use Bouncycastle to query Elasticearch through Java 8 to see if I could make it use a certain encryption algorithm and that was enough that I will spend hours and hours trying to not use some random library from then on.

At some point we'll have to realize that maybe Linux isn't so bad and just get rid of the OneDrive and Copilot bullshit.

On my phone, writing maybe 30 words looks like a wall of text because of how much space is given to superfluous stuff like my own profile picture on the left, the little heart with a dollar inside on the right and the padding between every element.

Un meilleur titre moins pissou serait "Un automobiliste frappe et tue une femme avec sa voiture à Longueuil", mais on se cache derrière le véhicule et le terme "piétonnière" pour adoucir le choc d'une personne qui tue une autre personne.

That's about as far as my knowledge goes. It sucks that VS is so obnoxiously good because it makes it difficult not to use -_-

A quick search tells me that Eclipse can do all the things, but is slow as sin for many people. Maybe something to investigate

Pyzo is what I'm learning on right now. I don't know what I'm missing by not following a coworker's advice to use VSCode, but I'm just an amateur so It's probably whatever for me.

My friend looooves "My time at Portia". When I played it, I had that exact feeling. It felt like the menus were afterthoughts. It lacked the basic level of polish I look for when I spend money on a product. I'm sure the game is good but I didn't make it past day 5
