That moment of Jannik consoling Sascha after the loss...Jannik is not only a great player but an extremely empathetic human being!

What a magnificent achievement! Congratulations, Maddy Keys!

One of the top stories of the Australian swing is the campaign of Gaël Monfils! Almost feels like passing the baton to Shelton. Beautiful moments here!

As I posted earlier, this is the guy to watch. Unbelievable match, Learner Tien!

AO day 5. Fritz, De Minaur, Musetti, Khachanov, Rybakina through easily. Shelton, Sinner, Rune in 4. Sonego over Fonseca in 5. Maroszan over Tiafoe in a battle of minds. Mad Keys and Collins through with some drama. Paolini on her way. Of the next gen guys, Learner Tien is the most impressive.

Carlos, Sascha, and Humbert through with style. Coco, Aryna, Paula, Jess moving on. Casper downed by Mensik, Qinwen ousted by Siegemund. Naomi looking inspiring. Machac edges Opelka in 5. Win or lose,Kokki looks better than Draper. Prediction: Machac over Nole in 4.

Day 3 AO on the WTA side: Andreeva, Kasatskina, Rybakina, Anisimova, Keys and Paolini through without drama. Raducanu shows fighting spirit! It's the story of two ex-champions: Sakkari and Jabeur. The future looks bleak for Maria, but Ons looked like her former self today!

Day 3 in AO was about the mental game. In the ATP, Fritz, De Minaur, Hurkacz, Khachanov, Shelton came to work and got the job done! Triple Z is an excellent player, but Rune should have done it in 4. Medvedev in 5 against Marej is playing more like #50, not #5. Fonseca is for real! Byebye Rublev.

What a day in Australia. Jarry exposed Jannik's defenses in the first 2 sets, Shevchenko made Charly think a bit. The big moments for me: Basavareddy showed that Nole is not in shape to win this, and Fernley exposed Kyrgios as a has been. Michelsen executed Tsitsipas; Naomi is back!

Sascha through without problems!

No surprises in AO day 1 on the WTA side. Sabalenka, Pegula, Qinwen Zheng and Leyla Fernández through easily!

Arthur Fils runs past Virtanen in 4.

At 35 yo, Kei is still a Samurai. Comeback from matchpoint and 2 sets down to steal it from Thiago Monteiro. First rounds of slams are so unpredictable!
