That’s how Chris Claremont and a lot of see her. She’s no mere host, and I think Phoenix Endsong (2004), Jean Grey (2024), Immortal X-Men (2023), X-Men Forever (2024), and Rise of the Powers of X (2024), and other stories underscore that.
