OTD the FA 1921 prevented women from playing on affiliated pitches, calling football ‘unsuitable’ for women’s delicate frames and arguing too much had been ‘absorbed’ in expenses by amateurs playing for charity. We are still smashing that patriarchy over 100 years on. Here’s to the rebels…
