It's debatable if it is the "best" 3D Mario game, but it's certainly the one that had the biggest impact on me and that I still have fondest memories of.

I can't say I've been experiencing that recently, but I have in the past. It is frustrating and I'm not sure what causes it!

I would like that, and I'll see you there!
November 9, 2025 at 8:48 PM
Yeah, I'm looking forward to it! If you're ever interested in going to a conference, let me know in case I'll be there too. It'd be great to meet up!

That sounds intriguing to me! Looking forward to hearing more about it later!

Oui, je suis Canadien! I'll be in Montreal for MIGS next week, actually; not sure if that's your area?
November 6, 2025 at 10:09 PM
Indeed! Yeah I've been doing soundtracks for 11 years now, mostly for digital board games, as you've deduced!

Up to you; would be interested in knowing what your novel's about.

Listened to the whole playlist, and it's a very solid soundtrack, François!

Especially enjoyed:
- Bountiful Emeren (Incredibly soothing)
- The Place We Belong (I belong here)
- What is Happening? (Nice groove)
- The Holy Sages (Classical)
- On the Hunt (Action time)
- Embittered City (Ominous)

I presume there are others who drink coffee?

I just turned 40 and I've become interested in "the wisdom of the elders". That is to say, I'm more interested in learning from those 20-30 years older than me than I used to be. If you were to write things out, I (for one) would read it!

That's... Pretty insightful!

Yeah, it really turned out great! It's awesome when a group can all piece their parts together in a unique way that probably wouldn't have happened if only 1 person did it.

I'm sorry for how much you're missing Yuki, @dalenorthmusic.com. I know how much it hurts to lose precious pets (best friends)!

Wow, this is a really creative arrangement of Etrian Odyssey 2! I love the mixture of organic instruments, chiptunes and vocals.

Looks like you did it with @xaleph-musician.bsky.social, @coloradoweeks.io, sallekhana, Dj Mokram & JSABlixer. What was your role in it?
November 5, 2025 at 2:39 PM
I love that this is what you dream about.

Welcome to the club!
November 4, 2025 at 10:51 PM
Time to give it a shot!

Yeah that's interesting that there's a mobile version. I've never composed on mobile because it was far too slow compared to using a piano/keyboard/mouse. But I can see its value in jotting ideas or writing on the go. Is it easy to continue work done on mobile on a PC?

Also, you're quite skilled with the Defle of the Masks! I've only used MOD trackers (in the 1990s) and Famitracker, but not Deflemask before.
