I wanted to like the characters but from what I remember about the dialogue it felt like every interaction with every character was contentious in a way that just got exhausting to me.

I've heard that the Pokemon company themselves assessed that the average Pokemon player is in their 30s so even though the well of nostalgia seems bottomless to profit off of I do think eventually they will run into problems if they don't do...something. anything.
