Before I taught writers, I always thought at the end of a teaching term I’d be exhausted and ready for a break. I’m giving feedback on final assignments for my Winter Stanford Continuing Studies writers and I’m like “Don’t leave me!” 📚

Eating a salad for lunch does not undo the fact that I ate enough homemade Rice Krispie treats for breakfast to sicken a small dog. The world is a dumpster fire so what even is balance anymore 🤷🏼♀️
