Thank you! Super interesting. But now that you're here, I have questions! What are your thoughts on these guys. My app is calling them Ceratiomyxa fruticulosa as well, but they seem quite distinct to my untrained eye (more separated, dome-like, that little jelly foot). Maybe just younger?

This week's slime molds.

These are one of my favourite things to look for on the trail. Seek tells me these are 1) wolf's milk (lycogala epidendrum), 2) salmon's eggs (hemitrichia decipiens) and 3) common coral slime (ceratiomyxa fruiticulosa)

Post died almost 2 years ago, but the season and place was finally right to bury his ashes under a sour cherry tree today. Felt right for a dog who loved to eat fruit and was sometimes a little astringent. I miss this goof a lot 💜🍒
