I'm so glad I don't have cable anymore, so I literally have not seen even one Van Epps ad.

Graphic media? That's insane.

Maybe they're putting on a production of the ballet in their garage and needed some set decorations?

Cleveland is my hometown. My uncle played in a band called Silk with Michael Stanley in the late '60s (back when he was still going by Michael Gee). They put out one album.

Third time's a charm (which is why I wish Bluesky had an edit function). Why don't you pack your bags and leave?

I live in this gerrymandered district, and TN-07 went for Trump by 22 points last year. But this race is nearly a dead heat right now (2 points). Even if she doesn't win, and those numbers hold, I think Republicans should be very nervous.

Like many others have said, the 1951 Alastair Sim is the definitive version for me, despite its many, many differences from the book. It just feels perfect to me. I watch it and read the book every Christmas.

We also watched it all just recently. A wonderful show with so much heart.

His dream is at-will citizenship, where the state can strip citizenship from anyone it deems a threat.
November 28, 2025 at 3:52 PM
It seems we are all going to become “at will” citizens. How much of a leap is it from denaturalizing migrants to stripping anyone of their citizenship?

My husband voted this afternoon at Lentz Public Health Center, and he said the line was crazy long!

What a sick, nasty “joke.”

I wish more people understood this. I mean, there are plenty of reasons to hate MTG, but this is pretty low on the list.

They’re all lawful orders, except for the unlawful ones.

This is a lot like Tricky Dick saying it’s not illegal if the president does it.

I became vested in my company's pension plan after five years. Of course, that doesn't mean I could have quite my job at five years and started drawing a large pension immediately. It wouldn't have started paying until I reached age 60, & it would be based on years of service & average salary.
