The breakdown of earnings made, and how it gets distributed down from the people at the top, all the way to the artists, should be scrutinized. But as I said in my other post, if record labels are this corrupt, then it means there is opportunity for better record labels to arise.

Obviously you didn’t get the point. If the industry is making money FROM YOU, then they should owe you a basic living wage. This is not virtue signaling. Having said that, it is the free market, so if there are nasty record labels who exploit, there’s opportunities for better record labels to arise
