There's no center of the universe as far as we can tell.

It likely streches infininelly in all directions, or at least further than we can see.

Hi, I've been kinda inactive lately, too much stuff going on and its leaving me kinda lost, maybe I should look for a ADHD screening.

I, ll try to make a new video. I have to model a new character first I lost all my stuff to my corrupted hard drive and I dont usually backup my 3d model files.

I dont have a subscription but by the abstract, it kinda seems like neurons have a combinatorial code not only on population level but also temporally. So I wonder how neurons can learn to shift their relative spike time offsets without affecting the population code.

Thankyou, I skimmed through it.

One big question I have is how does the visual cortex learn the connectivity for visual invariance, specially since neurons can't just teleport weights accross the brain like ConvNets do with kernels.

non-scientist here. Im interested in resources and theories of how the cortex does computation and what algorithms its implementing - if any.

I was trying to get a spiking network to develop sparse codes but it refuses to work, now I kinda wonder if the cortex actually uses sparse codes at all.

The acceleration curve is messing with my perception of time.

I stopped reading about after the PA class chapter, I feel like the story is too slow paced which makes it less interesting in a way.

Now kinda I want to put my own twist on the magic vs tech trope too.
October 20, 2024 at 1:46 PM
Indeed, I was following the "wearing power armor to a magic school" story and found it to be really fun. a bit too verbose but still interesting.
October 20, 2024 at 1:46 PM
Then I want to end the story with something like:

Wait, the galaxy devourer was us the whole time? -- always has been.
October 20, 2024 at 1:30 PM
Yup, thats just the setup of the story, I still havent figured what I want for the actual plot and first arc, only that I want it to be something to do with tech + magic being the only hope to fight against a eldrich entity devourer of galaxies and souls. And the whole galaxy has to unite against it

I'm writing a story about how humans figured interestellar flight and went to visit proxima centauri b and found out that the planet was inhabited by elves and dwarves who have also figured space flight but using floating islands powered by and dragonheart engines instead of warp drive ships.

I seriously want to see more gamedev and tool demo stuff here, most of what I see is artists, which is cool but not varied enough.

Ah gotcha.

Which tags? like just writing "3D Artist" on the bio?

I feel like it would taste like nachos.
