In case anyone is wondering why mass transit seems uniquely vulnerable among @usdot.bsky.social modes to administrative reorganization plans, it's because the law gives the FTA Administrator nothing specific to do. (All chapter 53 transit duties are given to the Secretary, not the Administrator.)

Worth noting that, in the past, Congress showed they could enact a full-year CR WITH significant spending cuts. This package passed the House with 179 GOP votes and 81 Dem votes on 4/14/2011. Senate vote was 81 to 19. It cut my subcommittee by 18 percent from the year before.
