Child of the Universe, husband, father, grandfather, tech guy, IT professional, author, always curious. Into music, psychology, and hiking.
Please, encourage everyone you meet tomorrow to go to their local library and ask the friendly librarian for help fining a book that you would enjoy reading.

Trust me, they are more than happy to help a potential new life-long reader.

Is greater intelligence not something to which all should inspire? I was taught that a changed mind under changed circumstances is true wisdom.

Why is it then that these days changing one’s mind is seen as a sign of weakness? Is everyone expected to know everything about everything?

Today is the culmination of 50 years of learning, practicing, and teaching in the IT industry. I will miss the technical challenges and the wonderful colleagues I’ve worked. I won’t miss the organizational challenges.

I’m looking forward to whatever retirement brings!

Another incredulous progressive here who will be retiring soon. I vote every election, but now it time to do more. How do I, in my own small way, effectively resist what is happening?

If you want to learn more about Computer Science, I highly recommend the CS50 course from Harvard. It’s free to audit. Just search for “HarvardX: CS50's Introduction to Computer Science”.

Taught by excellent professors, it’s entertaining and interactive—at least for the students who were present.
