Safe housing, transportation, food. All the things that people less likely to get TB have, and if you have them, more likely to access treatment, more likely to have positive outcomes from treatment.

I think like any issue, knowing someone who has it, or having it yourself, makes such a difference in humanities the condition. I know my grandmother had and survived TB, and all of my classmates were tested for it when we were kids. So it was definitely something I was aware of and felt close to.
