Before I head into the jungle with no wifi I wanted to say Happy International Women’s Day. In all my faucets of life I wouldn’t be where I am if not for the bricks laid by women before me, and I hope moving through science and photography I will lay bricks for generations to come. 🧪💃🏻👯♀️📸🍃

Have you heard of the ABC bears? Through genetic testing these brown bears have a maternal polar bear ancestor. An example of extinction via hybridization heavily influenced by a warming habitat

That time a whale held our boat hostage for 1h. Engine was turned off once whale was spotted in the distance. It approached and was spy hopping and rubbing up on the boat. It was cool to photograph his little hairs when he popped up. 🐋 #whales #photography #marinemammals 🧪
