Hello #EnergySky #EconSky! I have a simple question:

How many different companies own transmission infrastructure in the U.S.?

The EIA has this handy graphic on distribution companies, and generation is similarly easy to find. Help would be great. Thanks!

Climate action obstructionists can fight me in the committee meetings, public comments, and code hearings. We're not done. #energysky #climatesky
Now's a good moment to remind everyone that 12 US states retain *statutory* carbon emissions targets:

Net Zero by 2045: CA, VA
Net Zero by 2050: CO, MA, MN (👍Governor Walz!), RI, WA
'Close to' Net Zero by 2050: CT, ME, NY, OR, VT

Look to action on the state and city level (see 2016-20).

Texas leads the nation in major weather related outages - hurricanes, winter storms, severe weather, etc. all play a role.

The battery application there isn’t just about economics, resiliency is an important factor now too.

Technology innovation & market forces are powerful; solar, storage & EVs will continue to grow around the world as costs decline and as China pushes ahead with the energy transition. Policy just became far more uncertain for American manufacturing. #energysky
