It's that outer roundedness that throws off the eye. My presumption is that was intentional. It creates the illusion that is similar to a Celtic Knot but if you follow the chorded path it is off. Which almost falls into being Escher-esque, but again not quite.

So now I watch with horror as #NeilGaiman is crucified and cancelled by liberalism. Is he guilty of what he is being accused of? I have no idea.
