Yes, indeed, but 1960's?! Lived in one for most of the 1940's. There's actually a website devoted to them and I was astonished to find someone had posted a picture of me standing in front of ours circa 1947

In the same drawer as the Brahminy kite, whose limp call is quite at odds with its strapping appearance

I must have misread the headline. I thought it was an attempt by a political party to make cheese that had flopped.

"Potential ethical conflicts"? In this presidency? Surely not.

Fascinating! I can manage 10 kHz (eg Scarlet-backed flowerpecker) but there's one that shows up loud and clear in Audacity that I have to bring down a step of two to hear. Haven't id'd it yet. (Also never got round to spectrograms so this is very educational!) Thanks.

What a handsome creature! I'm sure most young ladies would rather kiss this than some princes I know of.

Great shot. When the lights failed at the Ambassador's garden party a while ago, I tossed my celery sticks back over my head into the bushes. The lights came back-guests found my celery sticking out of the trifle.

Great, as always. Or ..... in the interests of balance, LK interviewed god.

Stunning visuals, as usual! And fascinating glimpse of the behaviour. Unless my eyes deceived me, it had a quick pee while feeding.

As part of my compliance checking duties I had to watch the whole series in one go- quite a romp

😍 One of these flies over my house early every morning with its distinctive squawk- it's still dark so I can't see how intelligent it looks but it's too clever to come near enough for me to get a really good recording!

Before this, I had thought good things of Welby, but his farewell address to the House of Lords was jaw-droppingly crass. Either he's using the words without feeling what they mean or he has very misguided feelings
