I actually left the church for 20+ years & came back in 2016. When I was growing up in the 50s oftentimes males were expected to be priests. *Now* the Church really wants men to have a calling from the Holy Spirit. The quality of many of today's priests is very good. Pope Leo XIV had that calling!
