Women over a certain age always seem so amazed when they find out I cook. As in "My husband can't, and it's so annoying. You'll make a girl very happy one day!"

And I wonder if they would be as impressed knowing I'm gay. I feel like *gay guy who cooks* is less exciting than *straight guy who cooks*
