One of my favorite tricks, I learned the hospital flip about 20 years ago from this guy Paul Huston. He was the kind of skater I aspire to be: super welcoming, funny as hell, and always down to share wisdom. Wherever you are Paul, thanks!

Only skaters understand the monkey’s paw that is saying “okay, last try” during a session. You’re either getting it next try or you just guaranteed it’s going to be 30 more attempts, each one closer and more heartbreaking than the last.
