Had a great chat over at Goindienow about writing sports in our stories. Read a bit of the story and enjoyed the lively discussion with Lily Luchesi, Patrick Sangimino, Bryan Tann, Bob McGough with our host Sean Hillman.

It's curious how much gat keeping platforms do to keep your information and your posts from reaching your audience unless you bend over backwards and worship the algorithmic altar. Truly think peak Internet was about seven or eight years ago. things worked and people could connect.

Threads is curious, you try to get traction on some things, then drop a bullshit thread about a passing comment in a convo and then that blows up lol. Wish the same would happen for some book promo, but we all know you have to pay to play.

It’s always good to do a book event and I wanted to reshare this recap from my presentation of Penumbra at El Book Stop in Santurce. If you’re looking for books to gift during the holidays, remember that shopping local is now more important than ever.

Today’s Substack is all about our attitude when facing challenges. Life is what it is and sometimes you get dealt a rough hand. Still, I know people who face countless challenges yet always have a good attitude and get things done.

Hollow Knight Silksong is a work of art. It is also a game that is not easy. If you want a good challenge, deep lore, and a game that will consistently test you and push you as a gamer, then dive in.

I've been asked if I use AI to generate my content.

Clearly they didn’t read the name of my Substack.

The intention is to tap more into you, what makes you and your work authentic, and what can’t be generated derivatively.

So, no. I don’t use AI for anything I write.

Today's post on Substack is all about getting out of your head enough to get past a block or challenging scene. As writers, we sometimes resort to some pretty weird options, but if it works, that's what matters.

Read the full recap of my event last weekend at Casa Norberto. Thanks to everyone who showed up, bought a book, gave a hug, shared a post, and supported.

Huge thanks to the Captain for moderating and to Letras Distribucion for helping me get the gig.

Today’s Substack talks about revisiting emotions and experiences to capture something authentic on the page. Sometimes we need to dig deep to capture authentic feelings and it’s something I often do in my writing.

Few platforms are as asinine as Facebook, particularly with my author page. It's like the goal is to avoid, minimize, and hinder usability.

It's curious to sort the muck of your head as you organize your coming projects see where you are with a couple, and realize that with others, it's like hey, a couple of pushes and you're done lol. I'll share the total tally of projects soon. It's not a logical number by any means :D
