Just finished Drop of Corruption by @robertjbennett.bsky.social and I have to say. This series sets the standard for mysteries set in fantasy worlds. Clues you look right past starting on the first page tie in so beautifully at the end. Well written, beautifully deep world/magic. Just exceptional.

Can’t wait to join @atlevertonians.bsky.social on August 3! Went to Goodison for the first time this year and get to see the Toffees in ATL too? What an absolute treat!!

I cannot WAIT for A Drop of Corruption by @robertjbennett.bsky.social. The Tainted Cup was one of my favorite reads last year and I am so excited to see where the characters go. It is so fun to see authors pair a fantasy setting with a story form that isn’t usually associated with fantasy!

Your monthly reminder:

Keep writing. When no one cares, persist. When things appear to be crumbling, keep at it. When it's difficult, push through. When you feel alone, listen to the stories in your blood. Just write. The world needs you to tell your stories.

17 years ago I entered the troubled teen industry. I was pulled from my home and taken to a wilderness therapy program. I spent 49 nights in the mountains with no shelter during the dead of winter. We were on a fire ban, so there was no real heat. Often I would wake up with my jacket frozen solid.

May we walk in equanimity and realize peace is every step. Going home for Christmas was incredibly hard for me this year. Just taking a moment to breathe through it all.
