Give them some credit. Who could've guessed that more than 50% of Hispanics would vote for the MASS DEPORTATIONS platform? Or white women voting for the party that ended Roe?

I wasn't Nostradamus either. But I had knocked on ~3000 doors in 2016. Between the doors immediately slammed in my face and the insufferable complacency of registered Democrats, I assumed the worst. Even the Dems had all kinds of weird conspiracy theories about her health.

I was a giant nerd at 11. Things generally didn't become lame until I was 16 (though still a nerd).

I know! And if you talk to any big Clinton supporter from that time Bernie's support was "half-hearted" and "lackluster". Clinton visibly hated him on stage the whole time and he did it all anyway. They still think *he's* the reason they lost to Trump. It's amazing.

I worked on Bernie campaigns in 2 states and then for local dems (DCCC) in my very red state in 2016. "Hey guys, on election day we're all going to pull together, right?" Silence every time on both sides. Did *not* enjoy being right on Election Day.
December 23, 2025 at 6:54 AM
My apologies. Read it wrong waking up. Canvased for Bernie 2016 and then dealt with too many DNC types after that that blamed Bernie for the loss that year. Yeah, Bernie put himself out there and normie Dems could never let it go. To *this* day. Still frustrating.

In what world was Bernie a Stein supporter? He literally campaigned for Hillary about a dozen times after losing the primary.
December 23, 2025 at 6:31 AM
I was 11 when he "jumped the shark". If it struck me as lame then - well it had to be *really* lame.

I know. It's bizarre. "Why do you suppose every other vaccine does not create this problem??"
December 17, 2025 at 9:43 AM
I have to admit. The man makes a good point.
December 17, 2025 at 8:47 AM
Yeah, maybe if 95%+ got the vaccine for the most recent set of variants. (Thing that will never happen now.) Who was the replier that blamed the vaccines for creating mutants that evaded the vaccines. Yeah, because too few people got vaccinated and the vaccinated were exposed to the virus 20+ times.

I talked to literally thousands of dem voters that year. I didn't run into a single one that even considered that Trump might win, right up to Election Day. If HRC was fucking stupid, well, 99.9% of the voters were also fucking stupid. Even the other canvassers and my supervisor mocked the concept.
December 16, 2025 at 10:29 PM
Naw. Only in hindsight. Virtually no one thought he could win. I was an exception, but only because I was canvassing so much that year and a lot of the conversations with voters terrified me. The complacency of dem voters was off the charts. I was routinely mocked for worrying and "wasting my time".
December 16, 2025 at 10:17 PM
Correct about what?
December 16, 2025 at 10:12 PM
Huh. Apologies. They're non-existent in my state.
December 16, 2025 at 10:11 PM
Yeah, if you consider the Green Party a real party. At least the Libertarians run down ballot candidates in every election.
December 16, 2025 at 10:05 PM
It was only stupid in hindsight. Besides the media was already hyping Trump without any help from HRC.
December 16, 2025 at 10:04 PM
No. Already covered. (Police brutality, minimum wage? What powers do you think the president has?) You forgot to blame him for inflation.

More like: a *majority* of Latinos voted for a Mass Deportations platform. WTF?
December 16, 2025 at 10:00 PM
Naw, campaigning is secondary to media coverage now.
December 16, 2025 at 9:55 PM
Yes, electoral college. If a third party wins then one of the other parties disappear. I miss the Whigs.

How many millions did Stein pocket? It's a grift.
December 16, 2025 at 9:54 PM
Poorly!
December 16, 2025 at 9:48 PM
Oh, I'm all-in on vote shaming. No apologies.
December 16, 2025 at 9:48 PM
You're not going to get me to defend the HRC campaign. Sander support here. Remember? I knocked on about 3000 doors in 2016.
December 16, 2025 at 9:47 PM
Don't you remember the "great blue wall"? She didn't even campaign in those states because they were in the bag.
