Just a guy with a thing for transportation options.
After a summer with 30 days over 30C in #HamOnt, this November week feels like, what @katharinehayhoe.com has called, #GlobalWeirding.

In 2012 Jeff Skoll was worth $3.7B and the Globe & Mail said he was "giving it all away".
Oops he apparently found another $7.3B under the couch.

I'd be curious to know if Bill 60's prohibition on cities doing anything but adding more car lanes, means that any consideration of HSR/transit lanes, on a hypothetically expanded Linc/RHVP, is off the table? #HamOnt

@joeycoleman.ca will agree that the most🤤 #HamOnt donut is Grandad’s, but the most 🥱 one is this. 😂

Given 👆 and it would have also prevented the memorial Jay Keddy Access trail, we can only hope local media will ask mountain councillors about their thoughts on the provincial attack on seemingly every #HamOnt #VisionZero initiative!

Grandpa Austerity says what now?

Yet another 🚳 attack by Doug Ford!
Let’s remind remaining anti-🚴‍♀️ councillors in #HamOnt that #Bill60 would have prevented Cllr Jackson’s new road diet & multi-use trail “legacy project”!

Seeing regular ads of @mark-carney.bsky.social and @jagmeetsingh.ca being arrested on YouTube and X, it’s obvious this problem is hardly isolated. Something Minister of AI @evansolomon.bsky.social should look into it! 🙄

Same for me! I've been really enjoying the colours on Chedoke Trail the past week or so.

$105M #HamOnt public dollars spent to prepare Pier 6-8 for private developers' profit and there are still people seen sleeping on the ground there.
Government should be a homebuilding partner,

As Ford's #Bill60 allows municipalites to privatize water systems, and coucil's "fiscal hawks" take aim at revenue from stormwater fees, I'm reminded that two years ago Nick Winters, Director of #HamOnt Water, told us that our water/storm/sanitary systems have an *annual* funding shortfall of $101M.

Waterloo providing the most recent reminder how unregulated vehicle horsepower and a provincial government that provides moral licence to speed, puts more costs onto property tax payers, for a futile “enforcement solution”.

An absolute massive opening for a proper @ndp.ca leader.

Yikes! On #HamiltonDay there are tell-tale signs on Barton St, that another kinetic energy leak nearly took out another #HamOnt small business. #VisionZero

You're suggesting everyone bringing a bunch of empty SUV furniture downtown everyday, makes traffic worse? 😲

They forgot to include the house with a skeleton being driven over by a truck, on #HamOnt mountain. #Halloween #VisionZero

“Used golf balls for sale” at Chedoke golf courses is a reminder that investing in public options helps to spur peripheral entrepreneurship in the private sector. #HamOnt

Gosh, I wonder why Bill is dismissing the need to mitigate emissions?

When 5 km of suburban road is being widened at the equivalent cost of 3 brand new suburban recreation centres, we can't pretend to be shocked when #HamOnt credit rating is being downgraded!

Wish they’d asked about Opinion of Big Pharma, specifically, by party affiliation.

Amazes me that we'll tell kids to limit their costume creativity to the brightest colours only, so we don't have to tell motorists to restrict their car use to essential purposes, for a few hours during one night of the year.

After so many years of Liberals opening the people's purse to these multinational corporations, @avilewis.ca is a breath of fresh air!
Let's get it done!

On route to #EstherPauls Limeridge Rd bike lane PIC, where I was told repeatedly that, "no one wants to bike on the mountain" 🤔

Twenty Rd does have signs inviting people to🚶🏻‍♂️ but without sidewalks or bike lanes it’s understood as 🚷🚳.
The absence of this multimodal infrastructure should be a reason to build it, not a reason to NIMBY intensification! #HamOnt

I always assumed those dystopian Trunk or Treats were held to create an outdoor space where it’s safe for kids because all the cars are sure to be in “Park”.
