I can recommend any of these. I'm also working my way through their catalogue. I also love the simplicity (and durability!) of the covers - apparently based on 19th Century French covers.

Leo XIV. Popes' usual choice is significant for some historical reason. It's worth looking up Leo XIII, who appears to be (a) long serving, and (b) had a decent reputation as 'the workers' Pope' - though not a socialist. Not sure about his views on anything else!
