It's fine. Older cars are designed for the older API ratings, and modern oil lacks the additives older engines needed more. Diesel oil is pretty heavy in detergents, so it will do great cleaning a petrol engine, and it has enough Zinc in it to keep an old engine healthy.

Additionally it just seems that the older furries causing this ruckus are just armchair furries with nothing to offer the fandom besides griping (exactly) like my grandparents about how "everything sucks now"

Wise choice. I do the same, it's not very hard to determine what's AI and what's not. If I catch an artist using AI I just unfollow them, I don't want to support or see their lazy content.
