Meeting your goal is good. Sometimes it's hard, especially when the weather is crappy. As for my hike: Cloudy but dry. Was one kilometre short of walking half a marathon yesterday. The girls finally figured out their pet door to the garden. Only took them 12 days.

Whenever I see some Fox News talking head in particular, or a mainstream media "journalist" in general, I always think about old Julius Streicher and his well deserved fate.

Grey clouds all day, but very little rain. I very much enjoyed my walk. I made it to Michiel (-- end of walk --) in good time. Clocked a total of 17.5 kilometres today.

Autumn has begun in earnest. Not really cold, but very cloudy thus far. (I can see red from green, but I need to focus on every leaf to discern its colour).

In my rush to clean her baskets, I inadvertently destroyed her scent map. Marie is as neurodivergent as cats come, so she had been sleeping on the floor for half a year. To my intense relief and joy she has claimed a basket again.

We had a visitor this morning. A beautiful white haired cat, that I had seen previously on my garden fence, made it up to the attic. Marie is holding them at bay, while growling and hissing furiously. I had to entice Marie away with the promise of snackies, before the cat could make their escape.

Just redid one of my favourite puzzles. The first time (2021-01-10) was during lockdown. Whilst finishing it, I daydreamed about living there, instead of being locked up in my apartment during the dreariest time of the year.

This was all that was left of those little yellow-jacket fuckers. Good riddance. I've cleaned as best I could. I can enjoy my garden again. Being able to open my windows again to air the house after ten days is also very welcome.

It is done. I just got home. I've been drinking since 15h. It's 0h now. My alcohol tolerance is approaching college levels.

Exterminator said that if I had tried this one (large, aggressive, with a queen that had been hibernating since October last) myself, I would have been hospitalised at the very least.
