“Welfare” meant well being and not a government assistance program. The constitution still allows this because welfare, SNAP, etc. promote the general well being. They also promote/regulate interstate commerce.

It is something cults do. If things are not going well for a cult member, it is not because the cult’s ideology is flawed or the cult’s leader is incompetent or corrupt. The cult member is told by the cult his problems stem from a lack of effort or bad attitude- not from the cult’s shortcomings.

Everybody has an accent. It is all relative. A person from East London thinks a white person from Ohio has an American accent. A person from West London thinks the person from East London has a Cockney accent.

If 10% of the Epstein stuff is true, Trump should go to prison. That being said, not everything in the files is necessarily true or verifiable. Maybe Trump killed 5 babies instead of 10. MAGA will latch onto that one debunked allegation and use it to argue ALL the claims are false.

By no means am I suggesting Trump did nothing wrong, but the baby in the lake story has not been vetted. Crazy people tell crazy stories about famous people all the time. The more credible stuff involves Trumps deep involvement and contact with Epstein,

The standard MAGA talking point whenever the Pope talks about ICE is that the Vatican is surrounded by the type of wall Mexico was supposed to pay for and has armed guards all over the place. Yes the Vatican has security- it needs it because thousands cross its borders every day.

This is of course a good point. Many of us are assuming all the girls that got on the plane to Epstein island took a return trip home. There are perhaps victims that never left the island and have no voice. Maybe files will provide some evidence corroborating this suspicion.

Maybe Disney wants to get into the AI business. People use ChatGPT like Google so it wouldn’t hurt to control AI which could in turn not only be a source for content, but be a way to market goods and drive consumer behavior like Google does.

We live in a society where people have to market themselves. The people that get attention and market rise to the top, not necessarily the best. Eventually somebody will come along with a working system that will replace markets-making today’s society look like feudalism.

Well if we want to play that game the First Amendment was written to protect Puritans, Catholics, and maybe Jews from the Crown. Most of the Christian sects in the US are not Puritans or Catholics, so they are not covered by the First Amendment by that logic.

As the saying goes indictments are so easy the US Attorney could indict a ham sandwich. It appears a grand jury thought a ham sandwich was more guilty of mortgage fraud than Leticia James.
Convictions on the other hand can be difficult. Particularly in white collar matters.

There is no way Venezuela can win a conventional war, so it will fight using unconventional means. This is the very last thing you want playing in the Venezuelans’ minds when they do something like attack a random some random yacht, hijack a plane, or hit some other soft target.

I asked a question. Some orders are obviously illegal and soldiers who are incapable of knowing an order is clearly illegal have no business being put in a position where they will commit war crimes.

Like any military, the United States military does not have a spotless record. Atrocities occurred in Vietnam and even on American soil (think Native Americans) that had the approval of commanding officers.
