Exactly right, the dirty laundry is a feature, not a bug.
Either
1) Trump is terrible at vetting, or
2) Trump is deliberately putting up dirty nominees — people with big flaws, scandals, allegations, etc — so he can lord it over them and demand absolute loyalty
