Because of bullshit like this on the bird app, I’m gonna have to build my rep all over again here.

The photo in question is a notice from X, formerly known as Twitter, that the block function — known to keep users from seeing your account & feeling more safe — will give blocked users the opportunity to see your tweets despite having access to interact. This move will prove for People of Color, Women, the LGBTQ+ Community, those with disabilities & people who want to maintain their sanity as harmful & hazardous. Plainly speaking, it’ll lead to more harassment, hatred & potential threats by very problematic individuals. Hence why this user, who has been on that platform for 12 years, is now on BlueSky.
