Heeeey @feedly.com, I think something is busted with "Auto-Mark As Read On Scroll" in the browser. No matter what I set the preference to, articles don't get marked as read when I scroll past. This seems to be a recent, spontaneous behavior change, and I wanted to call it to your attention. Thanks!

An important difference between music and opinions: sometimes, when I don't like the former, the problem is just that it wasn't loud enough the first time I heard it.

Waaaaaaaitwaitwait. I'm sure I'm way late in catching up on this, but did they cast Christopher Walken for the emperor in Dune specifically because he was in Weapon of Choice? "Walk without rhythm and it won't attract the worm." www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQ7z...

The Path of Totality would be a great name for a band.

THE ACADEMY'S NOMINATION OF RYAN GOSLING NOT ONLY SNUBS GERWIG/ROBBIE BUT IS A WAY FOR THE PATRIARCHY TO ASSERT THAT A MAN ACCEPTING OR SUPPORTING BARBIE'S CENTRAL MESSAGE IS IN FACT AN EXCEPTIONAL FORM OF PLAY-ACTING THAT MUST BE RECOGNIZED FOR ITS IMPLAUSIBILITY AND DENIABILITY

I got an anonymous piece of mail (postmarked from Salt Lake City?) that appears to be intended to incite locals to harass leaders of minority student groups at Harvard after they shared their views on the ongoing Israeli/Palestinian conflict. It names individual students. It feels… really gross.

Autocorrect seems to think I speak French. I'm guessing it's because my stated language preference is English, but I use metric units in the US northeast, and so my phone has decided I'm a secret Canadian.

In case this is my last tweet before Twitter falls apart, I just wanted to say thanks for everything. I've learned so much from you all, and I'll miss the place. won't say "I'll miss you all" (because I'll find you elsewhere!) but I will say I'll miss sharing this space with you.

To the Jon Chambers in Carlisle, PA, your 3-piece chicken tenders are available for pickup. Also: you gave them the wrong email address.

Heeeeeey @feedly, your webapp has been doing weird upward scrolling jumps since (at least) yesterday. Scrolling up REALLY triggers it, and so does scrolling down after clicking a link (to a lesser extent). I'm sure I'm not the first to report it, but wanted to make sure you knew!

Hello, technofriends! If you were setting up a new Kubernetes cluster, what would you use as an ingress controller? Is nginx still the de facto standard, or is there a hip new thing all the cool kids are using?

Hey, @NPR, you published an article with a headline this morning that is (inadvertently!) at odds with the content of the article: https://www.npr.org/2022/04/05/1090994275/zelenskyy-to-speak-at-u-n-as-evidence-builds-of-war-crimes

Headline sounds like the only named party is...

Techno-friends: we're seeing signs of distress from an Ubuntu package mirror; does anybody know how to get in touch with somebody on the technical side of the Ubuntu world? My goal is to report a technical issue to an engineer rather than "contact sales" or "ask the community."

I'm annoyed that the ISP that said they couldn't POSSIBLY go below $100/month is now sending me flyers every week offering faster speeds for $25/month now that I actually cancelled and went to another ISP.

I started typing a message without realizing Google Calendar still had input focus and I'm pretty sure I've rescheduled all of my meetings from 2014 into 2077 and changed the date system to "French Lunar Buddhist (Non-Linear)."

No matter how many times I sign up for paperless billing, @EversourceMA keeps sending me paper bills and asking me to sign up for paperless billing. Does anybody else have this problem?
