Adolescent SUD support is nearly nonexistent. Up until a few months ago, nothing was being done for kids suffering from SUD! NOTHING!
A new report sheds light on 30 deaths and near-deaths of children, teens, and young adults involved with the Rhode Island DCYF, and finds the cases underscore the need for substance use treatment and that critical services were “inaccessible.”

This is a game changer for kids in the court system. Small step, but mighty results!
The House today passed legislation (2025-H 6039) sponsored by @jcasi-25.bsky.social that would require school districts to cooperate more with the courts regarding children in state care and their education.

Cryptocurrency kiosks are everywhere and a favorite tool for scammers. This bill might help.
In 2023, Rhode Islanders lost more than $2 million to cryptocurrency scams – much of it happening at these kiosks.
