Unfortunately dota's aggressive texture downsizing turns the details to mush in-game so I'll probably have to simplify heavily and keep these for a seperate "HD" portfolio piece 🥲

Like the value paint, keep these masks at the bottom of the stack and give them Anchor Points to easily reference later!

First up I always make a folder where I build a nice value underpaint. The goal is to establish a nice dark-light gradient and get the surface info to start popping.

After tons of topology, UV & LOD tweaks I finally have the full game-ready lowpoly (with quick test textures!)
I have one *tiny* change left to make but godamn does it feel good to be this close! I can't wait to start on proper textures :))

Quick update on something I've been working on for quite a while now! It's a scifi skin for dota 2's archdemon character Doom.
Next up: a lil more zbrush, then retopo and test bakes!
