I know! People are quite weird with film though — they WANT to be in a movie, they do, but do they want screen time/attention, etc. It’s odd. But I find it helps that I assure folks I’ll work with them and that there’s a process to building performance. :) And food - that helps too.

The auditioning process kinda sucks & it all kinda depends. My first short, I cast people already on the project. My second, I held auditions and the desert was dry because of people’s schedules. The third was fruitful only bc of the reaction to the second film. 😂 It’s tough - but gets easier.
