Thank you. As someone who recently stopped this is appreciated. FYI, ALL my #Whoop tracked health stats are up and to the right after doing so for just a week.
Just a friendly reminder as we go into the holidays:

Folks don't have to explain to you why they don't drink.

If you offer them a drink and they decline, don't ask them why. It's not your business.

Just offer them something without alcohol to drink instead. And move on.

Seems worth the effort to at least try, eh?
Uruguay proves renewable energy isn’t a dream — it’s a choice.

And it’s entirely doable — if politicians have the guts.

A humble professor called Ramón Méndez Galain showed the so-called leaders of Europe and the US how it can be done. 🧵

Why stop with Insulin? Top 100 Rx's?
Team Newsom @governor.ca.gov is taking bold, concrete steps to reduce dependence on a chaotic federal health landscape.

California is now producing its own insulin through CalRx, an innovative and timely model that leverages their purchasing power to reduce healthcare costs for Californians.

In case you wondered why EVs are so popular in California…

I found this interesting. For me, social media 'cleanse' is as far as I've taken it, but for others, esp non-US tech users, this could represent an alternative 'vote with your wallet' strategy. Sadly, my career was in tech, but its changed. A lot.
@parismarx.com and the @techwontsave.us team do incredible work, and this is another example. Superb resource.

Given the monopolisation and weaponisation of media and socials to suit agendas and narratives, the more informed and agile we can be, the better.
Silicon Valley’s alliance with Donald Trump was a mask off moment and showed the world we can’t depend on US tech companies.

For the past few months, I’ve been trying to get off US tech and I put together a guide so you find alternatives too. I hope you find it helpful!

Amazingly heartwarming.
“Oh my god… I have no words.”

Listen to the emotional moment this year’s laureate Maria Corina ( finds out she has been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.

Kristian Berg Harpviken, Director of the Norwegian Nobel Institute, shared the news.

Signed up for a library card today, something I haven’t had since I was a kid. Immediately ordered a book I was interested in. They had it on the shelf and I had it in my hand the same day. Faster than Amazon (hard copy)!

Finally purchased an EV to replace our 11 year old car. Amazing technology, smooth driver, 300+ mile range and simplistic mechanicals. As a car lover, I didn't think I would ever look down on ICE's, but now I can't imagine going back. Now for that second car... #EV #environment #gocalifornia

I don't believe there is any truth to the rumor that, as part of the restart of Alcatraz as an active federal prison, the Golden Gate Bridge will be painted....gold. @theonion.com ?

I once found myself seated next to David Gergen on a flight from DC. We had a brief chat about the Stephen Covey book I was reading, at which point he clearly became bored and returned to his work. Ha.

Highly recommend reading Teacher by Teacher, by John King. His qualifications for Sect'y of Ed include being a child of educators, BA Harvard, Truman Scholar, JD Yale, Doctorate at Columbia, charter school founder in his 20's, and much more. What a contrast to a wrestling promoter.

Sarah Wynn-Williams' book, "Careless People", succinctly describes the conflict between doing what's right vs. doing what is profitable at #Meta. Wondering whether #congress will subpoena Zuckerburg with this new data. #china

Jonathan Blitzer's Everyone Who Is Gone Is Here is a brilliant piece of history detailing the border crisis and the US involvement in Central America over the past half century. Suffice to say, we are dealing with a problem of our own creation. Brilliant read. #immigrationcrisis #southernborder.

Proud to live in the worlds 4th strongest economy. Evolution works.
To our international partners: President Trump does not speak for all of America.

California remains committed to strong, stable international partnerships and to leading on the global stage.

Not surprising (but pathetic) that KY senators only raise their hands to #tarrifs when it affects their state vs Canada. "I support Trump" (until it affects MY state). #Turk182

Imagine if #kamala and the #DNC had produced a 'what if' ad showing our current state (which they predicted). Very effective way to separate truth from 'fake news'. #turk182
