Trumps illiberalism is sadly a distinctly American liberalism. Likewise his corruption too is very American, but the more often we compare it to Putin’s or anyone else’s alleged corruption, the less likely we can come to terms with it and address the root causes in US society.

Old hat. Republicans in Florida legislature immediately passed laws effectively undermining the initiative to restore voting rights to convicted felons. The question in both places is whether there were enough democrats in the legislatures to do anything about it. 🤷🏽‍♂️
