Frosty saddle! Roads a little twinkly but ok.

SO EXCITED last night, to finally see this, *and in my own very southern UK garden, too*! I jumped about with joy. Very much fainter by eye, but the longer exposure on camera highlights the colours.

The periodic Finding of the Pens celebration (or desk tidying, as it’s also known).

Finally got out on my bike. Need to do this more often, it always makes me feel better about the world! Mostly on roads, burst of muddy track and field (and rain) at the end. Also featuring one of my favourite gateways to nowhere (or everywhere).

Pond progress. Native pond plants in, and rough turf edging around it (pinched from other edges of the garden). Top soil to come soon from a friend’s shed construction 🤞 to fill out the back beyond the turf and provide wildflower planting. Now hoping some amphibians appear.

Build it and they will come… wildlife pond dug and filled. Need some native pond plants to go in it, and some more turf or stones to edge it.

Recently got to have a look around the brilliant Bridport co-housing development, built to AECB Building Standard. Car free, planted swales and rain gardens.
